We were commissioned by the Partenariat du Quartier des Spectacles to develop a graphic pattern to cover the construction railings delimiting a technical area used by promoters of shows and festivals.
The aim was to create a visual narrative that would make this space - essentially used for storing materials and tools - more appealing. The pattern printed on perforated canvas, which was to be installed throughout the summer period, had to be neutral enough not to compete with the visual identities of the events taking place at Place des Spectacles, while remaining contrasting and dynamic during transitory periods.
The design, which was inspired by the graphics found in black-and-white road signs, is divided into 5 interchangeable and rotatable motifs, making it possible to renew the signage on longer linear surfaces while blending into the urban landscape.
